Hi guys,

I wanted to share with all of you how I got started in the manufacturing our Premium Molded Carpet Kits.  It all goes back in the summer of 2008 when I was in a mild car accident.  I had been rear ended by another car while in stop-and-go traffic on the QEW in Oakville (West of Toronto, Canada).  Being I was in the Landscape Construction industry meant that during the summer months I did a lot of driving and spent a lot of my time in my car.  After 3 years the carpet in my 2005 Mazda3 GT sedan was completely thrashed and destroyed.

I figured that since my car was being fixed and would look factory new again that I should get my interior looking the same.  After all, I do spend a lot of time in there (its like my office).  At that point I started looking for a replacement carpet for my beloved, trusted Mazda3.  I found the factory carpet was always impossible for me to keep clean and get cleaned.  The dust and dried dirt always stayed embedded in the carpet no matter how long I vacuumed or washed the carpet.  So I didn’t want to just replace it with just the same carpet that was in there to begin with.  I wanted to replace the factory carpet with one that was more durable, easier to keep clean and actually looked like carpet.

After a ton of time spent scouring the internet, Mazda owners forums, phone calls to different custom shops, I couldn’t find any replacement replacement carpet.  All I found was countless threads by Mazda3 owners complaining about the carpets in their cars.

Life-long car guy calls in favors

I have been a life-long automotive enthusiast (read: car crazed).  My very first car was a custom 1990 Mazda B2200 that was shaved, smoothed and slammed and was built by me and some of my friends in my parents garage.  Every car I have ever owned since, has had some kind of modification performed on it.  So being told that such a carpet kit wasn’t available just didn’t do it for me.  I started calling on a few of his friends in the automotive manufacturing sector to help find a solution.   To make a long story short, many introductions and meeting later, Mazeuro Sport Design & www.mazda3carpet.com was born.

Why do you have several websites?

Mazeuro is the parent that is responsible for the development and manufacturing of our carpet kits and soon other products.  We choose to have several individual websites that cater to each individual Mazda car model to ensure a pleasant experience for our clients and visitors.  This way if you have a Mazda6 or Mazdaspeed6 and visit www.Mazda6Carpet.com, you know that this site has the specific information you are looking for.  The visitor doesn’t need to guess and wonder if what they are viewing is relevant to them.

Today and the future

Since then, hundreds  of our Premium Molded Carpet Kits have been installed in everything from daily-driven Mazda3’s & Mazdaspeed3’s to award-winning show cars have had our Premium Molded Carpet Kits installed in them.

Today Mazeuro Sport Design is located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada with a manufacturing facility in the US. It is establishing itself as an aftermarket tuning/styling company that specializes in Mazda vehicles.  Throughout 2011, Mazeuro will be introducing several new products and solutions for various Mazda vehicles.

What is the ETA for the Mazda6 carpet kit and how many clients do you have on the “wait-list” as of today 3/5/11.

  2. David says:

    Hi Scot,

We will have the carpets ready to be shipped by April 28, 2011. At that point all the UPS tracking numbers will be emailed out all those who have purchased. As for the “waiting-list”, we do have a “waiting-list” as you are one of the people on it. Some kits have already been pre-sold to a very small amount of our existing customers who have purchased our other kits.

We will also be sponsoring a couple of different Mazda6/ Mazdaspeed6 sites aftewards.
