The unveiling of the next-generation Mazda6 at the Tokyo autoshow earlier this month has certainly created some serious buzz for the maker of zoom-zoom fun mobiles. And now a recent report suggests that it will be available in more than just that sexy looking 4 door sedan body.
In fact there will be 4 different body styles to be offered, including the sedan, which was previewed by the Takeri concept, the lineup is rumored to include a hatchback, a wagon and a coupe. The first three variants are expected in 2013, while the coupe will likely debut a year later.
Engine options are slated to include a 2.0-liter gasoline and a 2.2-liter diesel. We can also expect Mazda’s i-Eloop regenerative braking system which promises to increase fuel efficiency by up to 10%.
All that’s left now is for the photoshop-happy crowd to start their magic and show us what these new body styles might look like.
